Glaze in the Laguna Cone 5 Versa5 Glaze Series.
Product Details
Glaze in the Laguna Cone 5 Versa5 Glaze Series.
A glossy bright clear base with a somewhat stiff melt that won't run onto your kiln shelves. Zinc free and gives vibrant color when used with underglazes. As with all clears it is important to get a nice even thin coat for the best surface and translucency. If mixing from dry powder we recommend adding bentonite to ensure that this clear stays in suspension. Laguna recommends testing their glazes on test tile with your clay body before use in art or production. Photographic reproductions differ from actual colors.
Versa 5 is a dynamic cone 5–6 glaze series featuring 17 mixable colors, offering endless creative possibilities for potters of all skill levels. Designed with a stiff melt, it preserves texture when layered, making it ideal for intricate surface decoration. When applied to bisque or over underglaze surfaces, it enhances texture with striking relief effects, whereas when layered over glossy glaze surfaces, it flows seamlessly into the design. Food-safe and dinnerware-friendly, Versa 5 glazes offer a perfect balance of versatility and durability, making them an essential choice for both functional and decorative ceramics.
Laguna glazes have no instructions on the label. Visit Laguna Clay's website for guidelines on using Laguna Glazes.
